  Mary K. Caron graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Engineering Science. She later did research for the dental school working on developing new materials for crowns which led her into the dental field. She received her D.M.D from the University of Medicine and Dentistry. Following dental school she completed a dental residency program at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She has advanced continuing education in all aspects of dentistry, especially in treating children.
